6 November

Cleaning the boat (thanks to Woody's mowing the grass, most of it seems to have landed on the side of the boat) and sorting out the caravan, a fairly peaceful weekend.  We had a curry and a drink or three with David and Sarah on Saturday night, nice and snug on their boat.  The weather was lovely, although there was a rainless rainbow at one point

You can only just see the rainbow, above the chalet in the middle.  I was standing in bright sunshine!

On Saturday afternoon, we welcomed Wkd to her new mooring at the Club - it'll be great to see more of John, Pat, PJ, Connor and, of course, the dogs!

We're hoping for more boating before the depths of winter set in, when David and Sarah's boat gets mended.

The season draws to a close

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness and all than that, but sadly it means that the boating season is drawing to a close.  The dinghy's taken off, ready to be cleaned and dried

but some things never change, and Sam's still guarding the boats!

Wedding Anniversary, 25 October

It was a lovely day, and our 35th wedding anniversary, and the engine and gearbox were finally back in place (after the obligatory struggle to get things in right), so off we went for an anniversary jaunt down to Bait's Bite Lock and back.

A lovely Autumn afternoon, with blue skies, calm water and amazing reflections.  Here's to the next 35 years!
